Southeast Community Capital Opens Tri-Cities Office

Economic development organization provides loans and technical assistance to small businesses.
KINGSPORT, Tenn. -State of Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Matthew H. Kisber and Kingsport Mayor Dennis Phillips along with leadership from the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce and the local business community will celebrate the grand opening of the Southeast Community Capital (SCC) Tri-Cities office located at 160 Commerce Street on Wednesday, November 5, at 2 p.m. EST.
"We've been providing our products and services to a growing number of small businesses in the region," said SCC president Clint Gwin. "With all of the great things that are happening in the area, it seemed like a natural fit for us to open our newest office here."
Southeast Community Capital is a not-for-profit Community Development Financial Institution operating throughout Tennessee providing loans to small businesses that lack access to traditional financing. Since 1999, SCC has made more than 300 loans totaling more than $29 million to entrepreneurs in communities throughout Tennessee.
