J & J Waste
J & J Waste, based in Memphis, TN, is a family-owned ‘S’ Corporation headed by Patrick Harris (Controller), Ted Harris Jr. (Vice-President), and Jo Carol Harris (President). J & J Waste started as a residential waste disposal corporation for the unincorporated areas of Shelby County in 2003. At first, the company only had a light-duty truck and a 20ft. trailer to work with, but as the business grew, J & J acquired a rear-loading garbage truck to better serve its customers. 2004 brought the company to incorporate, and the clientele list grew to over 700 people. J & J Wasted hoped to have over 1,100 customers by the end of 2006.
With hard work, quality customer service, and good reputation, J & J Waste has expanded enough to need a newer rear-loading garbage truck and 450 95-gallon carts to keep up with demand.
