Clint Gwin is the President of Southeast Community Capital.  He joined the organization in July 2002 as Fund Manager for Nashville.  In January 2003, he assumed the additional title of Managing Director.  In August 2003, the board of directors made him President.  He is responsible for the daily management of the lending operations of the organization.  He is also responsible for oversight of lending operations, planning, fundraising, risk management, creating new lending pools, and initiating policies at the direction of the Board.  Additionally, he is responsible for the lending operations in the Nashville market, which includes the Nashville Opportunity Fund, SBA micro-loans, and the SCC Revolving Loan Fund.  Clint was heavily involved in the fund raising efforts for the Southern Appalachian Fund.  In this position, Clint's goals are to increase lending activities, seek new markets for lending, and to improve the lending operations of SCC while marketing the products and services of Southeast Community Capital.

Clint has more than 11 years experience in all aspects of lending, risk management, strategic planning, operations, and all aspects of banking including a diverse knowledge of successful community development initiatives.  This broad range of experience was earned during his career with the FDIC.  Most recently, he was a Field Office Supervisor for the FDIC's Division of Compliance and Consumer Affairs.  In this capacity, he was responsible for the regulatory supervision of 145 community banks in Tennessee and southern Kentucky.  This responsibility included managing a staff of examiners who reviewed regulatory compliance and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance.  He provided operational guidance and assistance to bank senior management to improve the overall operations of the bank as well as regulatory compliance issues.  Prior to coming to Nashville in 1997, Clint served as a field examiner for the FDIC in the Albuquerque, NM field office.  In Albuquerque, he was responsible for assessing organizational controls making recommendations to the board of directors and senior management.

He has a Bachelors of Arts degree with honors in Economics from Centenary College of Louisiana and a MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
