Scott Key joined Southeast Community Capital in March 2008 as the Tennessee Rural Opportunity Fund Assistant Fund Manager for the Tri-Cities area.  In this role, Scott will look for opportunities to provide capital for small businesses.  After meeting with a potential client, he must review the submitted application, present credit analysis, and gather proper documentation for the loan process.  During this time he must also provide technical support for both existing and potential clients. 

Scott spent two years working for Citigroup's Municipal Securities Division in New York before coming to SCC.  As a financial analyst, he completed extensive quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting for over 100 municipal and healthcare clients throughout the country.  He also monitored portfolios for over 30 of these clients to ensure the maximum reward potential for each client's risk tolerance.

While attending Clemson University, Scott used his skills to become a credit advisor on campus.  This included giving presentations on personal finance control, initiating marketing campaigns for student financial services, and providing credit and budgeting advice to others.  Scott graduated from Clemson in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in financial management with an emphasis in corporate finance and a minor in accounting.  He currently holds the NASD Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and is a CFA level 1 candidate.
