Ms. Taylor is the Controller for Southeast Community Capital (SCC). She is responsible for maintaining the organization's financial records and preparing its financial reports. She coordinates accounting functions such as accounts payables, accounts receivables, cash management, corporate tax returns, and corporate audits. She is involved in the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects designed to streamline financial consolidation issues and internal audit controls. She is responsible for SCC's internal control procedures to ensure they meet compliance regulations.
Before joining SCC, Ms. Taylor was Controller for a JD Byrider Franchise in Madison, Tennessee. While there, she managed two company's corporate month-end closing processes, and she worked with the CPA to bring the company books from seven months behind to closing both companies month end consistently in five business days. She also identified and resolved problems and inconsistencies within controls and administration policies and procedures and determined appropriate corrective procedures. Prior to that, she worked for Adecco in Gallatin, Tennessee where she created documentation for receiving processes and again brought companies current on bank statements, cash receipts and receiving receipts. She was the Assistant Controller at Techniflex Corporation and IMagic Corporation in Brentwood, Tennessee where she brought sales taxes in forty states for both companies up to date after being six months behind. She has worked as an Accountant at Highland Academy, a private, non-profit school in Portland, Tennessee for six years. She is adept at using the following information systems; Microsoft Office Programs for Spreadsheet Applications, Word Processing and Email Systems, QuickBooks, AES, EMS Accounting/Registration Software, Great Plains, Lotus Notes, Concur, Axapta for Accounting, Tiny Term for Service and Finance tracking, Discover for Sales tracking and reporting, MSA, IMS, ABI, Oracle, TSO/Focus/Capital Track for Fixed Assets, and AS 400.
Ms. Taylor graduated from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. In addition, she has had training in Conflict Management and Confrontational Skills and Essentials of Communication.
